Covering left wing...

12/06/03 - In two sessions (so far) today, I ran the shrink process through three passes to final.  I also cut the fabric patches for the inspection and exit rings, then applied the rings and patches.  I am ready to begin the rib riveting process next trip out to the shop.

Not too many photos today, although I did notice that my big iron has an 'aviation' related name:

After the shrink process was completed, I placed the exit and inspection rings in their locations:

After initial adhesive was applied to the rings, etc.:

After fabric patches are applied:

The majority of my work day was the shrink processes as it is time consuming, but fun!  I might attempt another session this evening (although I remember last night) and get a jump on the rib rivet process.  If I remember correctly, I spent about 90 minutes per side on the process, so I may try and get at least the bottom side done yet this evening.

More updates soon...
