Second piece completely covered...

09/28/03 - Today, I finished edge taping the left horizontal stabilizer IN MUCH LESS TIME than the first piece required.  I probably had a little over 90 minutes in the task today, but managed to milk the job for nearly three hours by working a little on other things.

Very few photos today as they'd just look like yesterday's shots, starting with the taped over compression ribs:

And finished with the second adhesive coat and final shrink/seal with the irons, showing both finished stabilizers here:

As I said earlier, I picked up a lot of time today over the first run item and I can also see an improvement  in the quality of the finished job today which is important in that I really want to have a smooth-looking finish on the completed kit (here's hoping I can learn to apply the primer/filler properly and figure out how to paint).

I finished September with the fewest hours worked on the kit since I started (only a half hour less than in June when I took a weekend off to go to the Rans Fly-In) and although I feel I would have liked to have booked a few more hours on the Coyote, I also understand that life requires balance and I don't regret any time I've spent doing otherwise.

Hey!  It's a hobby, not a career!  ;^)

More updates soon...
