Rudder assembly and Trim Tab...

04/19/03 - After the yard work was finished today, I managed another four and a half hours of shop time and continued working on the tail group with rudder assembly and trim tab assembly as today's tasks.

I started BACKWARDS by installing the rudder horns in the wrong position and after fixing that, things progressed more smoothly.  I was listening to a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game on the radio and MUST have gotten confused...anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!  ;^)

Here is the rudder assembly with the rudder horns in the PROPER position...if you look closely, you will note a #11 hole an inch or so above the horn in view:

Working on the trim tab assembly:

Drilling right side elevator for trim tab attachments:

The Empennage!

I need to install the push-pull tube and yoke assembly, then pre-fit the cables and that's about all that's left to this section!

More updates soon...
