Windshield deck, instrument panel and panel top covers... 02/22/03 - Last week, I decided to get the gear on and didn't complete the section I'd intended to work on so we're back on windshield and doors now. Today, I fit, trimmed and drilled the windshield deck, pre-fit the instrument panel in place and did a trial install of the instrument panel top covers. Here's where we left off last week with an uncut windshield deck:
After fit, trim and drill the deck and cleco the panel in place:
I then began fitting the instrument panel top covers (thin aluminum sheeting which acts as the interior deck for the windshield):
The top covers are now ready for final drilling to the instrument panel tabs on the aft side, the forward cross tube and sides (maybe tomorrow). More updates soon... |
